RNR-Marine Top Technical Specifications and Model Selection Guide

RNR-Marine manufacturers a range of folding and removable tops for center console, rigid inflatable (RIB) and flats boats, ranging from the universal fit Shadow to the semi-custom T-Topless, Montauk-T-Topless and Flats-Top. All tops are constructed from TIG welded, high polish type 304L and 316L stainless steel with Sunbrella® marine fabric canvas to last the life of your boat.

The T-Topless, Montauk-T-Topless and Shadow fit most Center Console and Rigid Inflatable (RIB) boats equiped with stainless steel grab bars (no aluminum) around the windshield. All three tops install in less than an hour (plus 30 minutes to connect the light's wiring) using only a 3/16" allen wrench, phillips screwdriver and 7/16" box end wrench.

T-Topless
T-Topless Coverage

T-Topless is a sturdy, folding, welded stainless steel T-Top which installs in an hour and raises, lowers or removes in seconds allowing the owner to keep their center console boat in a garage or under a boat cover or their rigid inflatable boat (RIB) in a yacht bay. Nine size combinations, an integrated navigation light and availability in any Sunbrella® canvas color produce a custom look and feel.

  • Models: Skinny, Narrow, Medium, Wide or Montauk to fit from 23" to 39" wide Grab Rails. A Raked version is available in each width for boats having grab bars that are angled more than 30 degrees (30-75 degrees) from vertical.
  • Frame: NC formed, polished 304L tubing NC orbital TIG welded to 316 fittings with forward facing "Visor" and center "Top Bow" bar for improved shape and rigidity. All components factory assembled and welded. Stablizer bar mounted for port or starboard helm configuration.
  • Light: USCG approved Perko® all-around Nav-Lite above canvas to avoid glare, with Ancor® marine grade 14AWG tinned copper jacketed wiring hidden inside frame. Connects via male/female pin connectors to 36" instrument panel connection lead.
  • Canvas: 6 colors of Sunbrella® marine canvas, factory laced to frame.
  • Size: 6' long X 52" wide rear X 40" wide front = 23 sq.ft coverage, models fit windshield grab bars from 23 to 39 inch width
  • Height:
    • T-Topless: 23" above front grab-rail mount (typically 6'4");
    • Montauk-T-Topless: 28.6" above grab-rail mount (6'4" side and 6'9" interior head-room)

Shadow Coverage

The Shadow is a great value in a welded, stainless frame folding top which assembles and installs about an hour, provides refreshing shade and raises, lowers or removes in seconds to fit in a garage or under a boat cover. This universal design can be used on a variety of center console boats and RIBs.

  • Models: Vertical ( Grab rails with less than 20 degrees rake) or Raked ( Grab rails with 20 to 65 degress rake) for Grab Rail widths of 29" to 37" inches
  • Frame: NC formed, polished 304L tubing, NC orbital TIG welded to 316 fittings. Stablizer bar mounted for port or starboard helm configuration.
  • Canvas: Black or Mediterranean Blue Tweed Sunbrella® marine canvas.
  • Size: 5'6" long X 52" wide rear X 37" wide front = 21 sq.ft coverage, fits windshield grab bars from 29 to 37 inch width.
