1999-2002 Monterey® 240 Explorer Sport Model Specific Details: Monterey® actually called the "Forward Bimini" (over the bow area) a "Camper Top" on the Explorer™ deck boats. The "Bimini" on this boat is over the aft Cockpit area. Monterey® originally offered the 1999-2002 240 Explorer Sport in Captain Navy, Forest Green and Burgundy Sunbrella® fabric.
Product Details: Framework only (and Support Poles if used). Order canvas and mounting hardware separately. A Bimini-Top stands above the cockpit (not connected directly to the windshield frame), while a Convertible-Top connects to the top of the windshield.
Monterey® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes:For Ameritex® (Not Great Lakes or BLI®) canvas, covers & frames: A laser-engraved, black rubber tag is sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), and the only way we are able to manufacture the exact canvas, cover or frame specific to your boat is if you provide the part number (P/N) on that tag. We will require the P/N (112350xxx and Greater) and DT date code fromthe tag (or sticker). WE WILL MAKE THIS EXACT PART NUMBER, so there are NO RETURNS, REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. Zippers on OEM Monterey® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). Monterey® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for Monterey® boats over 2 years old. Monterey® OEM canvas part number scheme: tags, where [xxxx] identifies the canvas piece and [ccc] is the color code.
