2000-2007 Grady White® Seafarer 228 Model Specific Details: Same boat as 226 Seafarer, except with Ful Trason and O/B on Bracket. The factory original Hard Top-Visor (2 panels) and Hard Top Side Curtains do NOT have U-Shaped Smiley windows, but we can add them as an option. For Hard Top models older than around 2005, we will need your original Hard Top Curtains to use as a pattern (many patterns were destroyed during Hurricane Floyd flooding in 1999), which will take 3 weeks upon receipt of the old curtains. Hard Top canvas is sold online as a complete set, but email us for individual pieces. Grady White® originally offered the 2000-2007 Seafarer 228 in Navy (Not Captain-Navy), Black or Cadet Grey Sunbrella® or Ivory (white) Stamoid® with 40mil (040", aka 40ga) Strataglass® windows and larger #10 (NOT #8) zippersHard T-Top canvas fabric.
Product Details: The Visor is the entire clear Eisenglass (clear vinyl) window or window set (typically 3 individual sections, but 1 or 2 on some boats) that zip together above the windshield (typically the center section zips open). The Visor either snaps onto or slides into a track at the top of the windshield (this will be exactly as per original, either snaps or rubber slide). The Visor has Zippers on the top for the Bimini-Top (Not included) and each side (Port and Starboard) for the Bimini-Side-Curtains (Not included, if so equipped) to form the front part of a complete eisenglass enclosure. Often part of "Weather Enclosure". Factory Original-Equipment (OEM) canvas made-to-order.
Grady White® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes:4/13/22: We are now selling factory original (OEM) replacement canvas for Grady White Walk-Around-Cuddy, Dual Console and Large Center Console boats with Hard-Tops or T-Tops now: 1) We are ONLY selling Covers (Aft Tonneau, Bow or Helm), T-Top canvas, Complete T-Top Curtain Sets, and Complete Hard-Top Curtain Sets (Visor, Side Curtains and Aft Curtain), and 2) you will need to send us your existing Canvas Set or Cover to use as patterns (we can return these if you like, at your cost), and 3) Lead times for this canvas can vary by a few weeks based on Grady White's new boat production demand. Canvas and covers for Vista Bimini Top boats use #8 (6 teeth per inch) zippers. Canvas and covers for Hard Top boats use larger #10 (5 teeth per inch) zippers. We have Grady White® factory OEM HARD-TOP Visors, Curtains and Covers back to the 1980s. Grady White® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). Verify that your old and mating canvas has GLBT on the tags and embossed on the Canvas Snaps AND factory #8 zippers (6 teeth/inch), NOT #10 (5 teeth/inch) which are After-Market zippers.
Snaps are included, but NOT installed in the canvas (to allow perfect alignment on install), so you will need a Snap Installation Tool for snaps (includes male snap-screw-studs OR windshield clip-on snaps if needed).
