1997-1999 Monterey® 230 Explorer Open Model Specific Details: Monterey® actually called the "Forward Bimini" (over the bow area) a "Camper Top" on the Explorer™ deck boats. The "Bimini" on this boat is over the aft Cockpit area. Monterey® originally offered the 1997-1999 230 Explorer Open in Sunbrella® fabric.
Product Details: The Camper-Top is the single Top canvas piece at the back of the boat (sometimes the front on Bow-Riders or Deck Boats), mounted on a separate Camper-Top-Frame (sold separately) which attaches to the back of a Bimini-Top, Convertible-Top, Arch-Aft-Top or Arch (other tops sold separately). The Camper-Top combines with Curtains (sold separately) to fully enclose the back of the boat providing full, protected (standup) use of the rear cockpit area at the dock. Factory Original-Equipment (OEM) canvas made-to-order.
Included: Single Camper-Top-Canvas piece with Zippers on edges,
NOT Included: Frame, Curtains, Mtg. Hardware, Boot-Cover and other Bimini/Convertible/Arch-Tops and Frames.
Monterey® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes:For Ameritex® (Not Great Lakes or BLI®) canvas, covers & frames: A laser-engraved, black rubber tag is sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), and the only way we are able to manufacture the exact canvas, cover or frame specific to your boat is if you provide the part number (P/N) on that tag. We will require the P/N (112350xxx and Greater) and DT date code fromthe tag (or sticker). WE WILL MAKE THIS EXACT PART NUMBER, so there are NO RETURNS, REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. Zippers on OEM Monterey® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). Monterey® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for Monterey® boats over 2 years old. Monterey® OEM canvas part number scheme: tags, where [xxxx] identifies the canvas piece and [ccc] is the color code.
