2002-2005 Glastron® GS 249 Ameritex Model Specific Details: Taylor Made® and Ameritex® both made canvas for this boat, so you MUST verify which canvas you have by the tags (Ameritex® and Taylor Made® canvas is NOT inter- changeable). Aluminum top frames. Customers have confirmed that the 2002 GS249 canvas also fits the 2001 GS249 boat, but we cannot guarantee fit. The Bimini-Top does not have zippers on the pickets for the frame bows to pass through. Glastron® originally offered the 2002-2005 GS 249 Ameritex in Mediterranean Blue Tweed, Mediterranean Blue (solid), Captain Navy or Beige Sunbrella® fabric.
Product Details: Framework only. Order canvas and mounting hardware separately. A Bimini-Top stands above the cockpit (not connected directly to the windshield frame), while a Convertible-Top connects to the top of the windshield.
Glastron® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes:A laser-engraved, black rubber tag is sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), and the only way we are able to manufacture the exact canvas, cover or frame specific to your boat is if you provide the part number (P/N) on that tag. We will require the P/N (112350xxx and Greater) and DT date code fromthe tag (or sticker). WE WILL MAKE THIS EXACT PART NUMBER, so there are NO RETURNS, REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. Zippers on OEM Glastron® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). Most (NOT All) Glastron® Bimini Tops have zippered frame (bow) pockets for easy installation. Glastron® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). Glastron® began making ther own canvas in-house in 2016, so we do not have anything after 2015. Glastron® OEM canvas part number scheme: Ameritex® or Taylor-Made® tags, where [xxx] identifies the canvas piece and [ccc] is the color code. Glastron® Hull Identification Number (HIN) = GLAsssssmbyy (1972-2010) or PGLsssssmbyy (2010-current) , where [yy] = model year.

Verify that your old and mating canvas has AMERITEX® or TAYLOR-MADE® on the tags and embossed on the Canvas Snaps AND the correct factory OEM Zipper Size (#8 = 6 teeth/inch in most cases).
