Factory Snap-On COCKPIT COVER with Adjustable Aluminum Support Pole(s) and reinforced Snap(s) for Pole alignment in Center of Cover on Larger Cockpit-Covers, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in Sunbrella® marine fabric, produced with the same high quality, original 2002-2005 digitized patterns approved by Glastron® for the GS 279: GS279 cuddy WithOUT Optional Radar Arch (or not connecting to Radar Arch):
  • Notes:
    • 2002-2005 Glastron® GS 279 Model Specific Details: This canvas was used from 2001 through April 2006 for HIN ending in D606 or less Glastron® originally offered the 2002-2005 GS 279 in Black, Captain Navy, Mediterranean Blue, Mediterranean Blue Tweed, Beige or Burgundy Sunbrella® fabric.
    • Product Details: Snaps tightly over Cockpit Area ONLY (not the Bow area) of boat. Cockpit-Cover has 30 to 80 standard 3/8" snaps, depending on the boat. Stainless steel Canvas-Snaps are included but not installed in the cover. Includes Male Snap-Stud-Screws. Premium (extra cost) Sunbrella colors are: Jockey Red, Yellow, Logo Red, Burgundy, and Orange.
    • Glastron® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes: TAGSA laser-engraved, black rubber tag is sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), and the only way we are able to manufacture the exact canvas, cover or frame specific to your boat is if you provide the part number (P/N) on that tag. We will require the P/N (112350xxx and Greater) and DT date code fromthe tag (or sticker). WE WILL MAKE THIS EXACT PART NUMBER, so there are NO RETURNS, REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. Zippers on OEM Glastron® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). Most (NOT All) Glastron® Bimini Tops have zippered frame (bow) pockets for easy installation. Glastron® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). Glastron® began making ther own canvas in-house in 2016, so we do not have anything after 2015. Glastron® OEM canvas part number scheme: Ameritex® or Taylor-Made® tags, where [xxx] identifies the canvas piece and [ccc] is the color code. Glastron® Hull Identification Number (HIN) = GLAsssssmbyy (1972-2010) or PGLsssssmbyy (2010-current) , where [yy] = model year.
    • Factory OEM canvas: Ameritex® tags p/n [101xxxccc - S-GL 279] or [102xxxccc - S-GL 279]

    1. Factory Original-Equipment-Manufacturer (OEM) patterned for the {2002,2003,2004,2005} Glastron® GS 279: GS279 cuddy WithOUT Optional Radar Arch (or not connecting to Radar Arch).
    2. Only fits Factory-Original Windshield, Arch/Tower (if so equipped) setups.
    3. Snaps included but NOT installed in canvas, so a Snap Installation Tool is required.
    4. Made per Factory-Original specification (many Cockpit-Covers do NOT offer special Cut-Outs).
    5. Many (NOT ALL) Cockpit-Covers have Cutouts for the Top Frames to pass through.
    6. Check the 2002-2005 Glastron® GS 279 Model-Specific-Information abovefor any other size/fit notes and zipper size.
    7. Does NOT fit Glastron® GS 279 prior to 2002.
    8. Does NOT fit Glastron® GS 279 after 2005.
    9. Does NOT fit any year/make/model other than the 2002-2005 Glastron® GS 279.

    • Your 12-digit Hull-Identification-Number (HIN) (GLAsssssmbyy) is embossed on the starboard side of your transom, below the rub rail, and the HIN should also be on your registration papers (verify it with the official HIN on your transom) and may also be on your insurance documents,
    • The HIN is required to verify the boat manufacturer (first 3-digits) and determine date of manufacturer (last 4-digits) to determine the correct revision of the Cockpit Cover (Factory OEM),
    • Unfortunately, the HIN does NOT tell us what model the boat is, what options the boat has or what color canvas it originally came with, so we must rely on you to select the boat, options and color from our web site.
