2009-current Smoker Craft® 172 Osprey Model Specific Details: The Convertible Top was called a Forward Top by Smoker-Craft®. Smoker Craft® originally offered the 2009-current 172 Osprey in Offered ONLY in Grey(58) Top-Gun® 11-1/2 oz/sq-yd. Acrylic Coated Polyester or Black Polyester fabric fabric.
Product Details:See Boats Model-Specific Notes for Fabric and Color choice. Replacement Canvas only for Convertible-Top (where the canvas top connects directly to top of the windshield). NO Frame, Boot or Curtains. Only has Zippers If offered with Side or Aft Curtains.
Smoker Craft® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes:For Ameritex® (Not Dowco®) canvas, covers & frames: A laser-engraved, black rubber tag is sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), and the only way we are able to manufacture the exact canvas, cover or frame specific to your boat is if you provide the part number (P/N) on that tag: We will require the P/N (112350xxx and Greater) and DT date code from this Black Tag (or sticker) and WE WILL MAKE THIS EXACT PART NUMBER, so there are NO RETURNS, REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. Zippers on OEM SmokerCraft® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). SmokerCraft® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for SmokerCraft® boats over 2 years old. SmokerCraft® OEM canvas part numbers: Ameritex® tags p/n[nnnxxxccc], where [nnn] identifies the boat (an internal code), [xxx] identifies the canvas piece and [ccc] is color code. SmokerCraft® Hull Identification Number (HIN) = RSBpssssmbyy (1972-current), SMKpssssmbyy (1972-current) or SUNpssssmbyy (1988-current) , where [yy] = model year.

Will ONLY fit and/or zip to other Factory OEM canvas/frames with Ameritex® tags p/n [11xxxxxcc] ("cc" is the color code).
Only fits the Factory OEM Convertible Top Frame.
Verify that your old and mating canvas has AMERITEX® or TAYLOR-MADE® on the tags and embossed on the Canvas Snaps AND the correct factory OEM Zipper Size (#8 = 6 teeth/inch in most cases).

Will be of first rate quality and free of manufacturing defects,
Will be made with the exact patterns and specifications as originally designed and delivered with the boat when new,
Will fit the specified boat, as long as the existing and mating canvas and frames are factory original: having part numbers, snaps and zipper size as specified in the Size/Fit and Model-Specific-Information on this page,
Will perform as described when installed properly.
