Factory Convertible FRAME for OEM Convertible Top Canvas (not included) which connects to the top of the factory windshield, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in Sunbrella® marine fabric, produced with the same high quality, original 2009-2024 digitized patterns approved by Smoker Craft® for the 185 Viper Dual Console:
  • Notes:
    • 2009-current Smoker Craft® 185 Viper Model Specific Details: The Convertible Top was called a Forward Top by Smoker-Craft®. Smoker Craft® originally offered the 2009-current 185 Viper in Offered ONLY in Grey(58) Top-Gun® 11-1/2 oz/sq-yd. Acrylic Coated Polyester or Black Polyester fabric fabric.
    • Product Details: Convertible-Top-Framework only (NO Top Canvas, Curtains or Boot, order canvas and mounting hardware separately). The Convertible-Top connects to the top of the windshield, while a Bimini-Top stands above the cockpit (not connected directly to the windshield frame). WE MUST HAVE THE P/N FROM THE STICKER ON YOUR OLD FRAME TO PROCEED.
    • Smoker Craft® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes: TAGSFor Ameritex® (Not Dowco®) canvas, covers & frames: A laser-engraved, black rubber tag is sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), and the only way we are able to manufacture the exact canvas, cover or frame specific to your boat is if you provide the part number (P/N) on that tag: We will require the P/N (112350xxx and Greater) and DT date code from this Black Tag (or sticker) and WE WILL MAKE THIS EXACT PART NUMBER, so there are NO RETURNS, REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. Zippers on OEM SmokerCraft® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). SmokerCraft® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for SmokerCraft® boats over 2 years old. SmokerCraft® OEM canvas part numbers: Ameritex® tags p/n[nnnxxxccc], where [nnn] identifies the boat (an internal code), [xxx] identifies the canvas piece and [ccc] is color code. SmokerCraft® Hull Identification Number (HIN) = RSBpssssmbyy (1972-current), SMKpssssmbyy (1972-current) or SUNpssssmbyy (1988-current) , where [yy] = model year.
    • Factory OEM canvas: Ameritex® tags p/n [11xxxxxcc]
    • TIP: Be sure to check your existing (and adjacent connecting) canvas pieces (and frames) for:
      1. White Ameritex® tags p/n [11xxxxxcc] (the tags are approx. 2-3 inches x 4-5 inches),
      2. The Ameritex®  logo embossed on the heads of the stainless canvas snaps,
      3. The Zipper Size listed above (#8 in most cases) on all zippers.

    1. Factory Original-Equipment-Manufacturer (OEM) patterned for the {2009,2010,2011,2012,2013,2014,2015,2016,2017,2018,2019,2020,2021,2022,2023,2024} Smoker Craft® 185 Viper Dual Console.
    2. Will ONLY fit and/or zip to other Factory OEM canvas/frames with Ameritex® tags p/n [11xxxxxcc] ("cc" is the color code).
    3. WE MUST HAVE THE P/N FROM THE STICKER ON YOUR OLD FRAME TO PROCEED.
    4. Fits this specific boat only.
    5. Factory OEM #8 Zippers Ameritex Verify that your old and mating canvas has AMERITEX® or TAYLOR-MADE® on the tags and embossed on the Canvas Snaps AND the correct factory OEM Zipper Size (#8 = 6 teeth/inch in most cases).
    6. Only the factory OEM Convertible-Top canvas will fit this frame.
    7. Check the 2009-2024 Smoker Craft® 185 Viper Model-Specific-Information abovefor any other size/fit notes and zipper size.
    8. Does NOT fit Smoker Craft® 185 Viper prior to 2009.
    9. Does NOT fit any year/make/model other than the 2009-2024 Smoker Craft® 185 Viper.

    • Will be of first rate quality and free of manufacturing defects,
    • Will be made with the exact patterns and specifications as originally designed and delivered with the boat when new,

    • Your 12-digit Hull-Identification-Number (HIN) (mmmsssssmbyy) is embossed on the starboard side of your transom, below the rub rail, and the HIN should also be on your registration papers (verify it with the official HIN on your transom) and may also be on your insurance documents,
    • The HIN is required to verify the boat manufacturer (first 3-digits) and determine date of manufacturer (last 4-digits) to determine the correct revision of the Convertible Top Frame (Factory OEM),
