2002-2006 Scout® 280 Abaco with Short Venturi Windshield Model Specific Details: The top of the Connector and Curtains slide into tracks mounted on the factory installed Hard-Top. The Aft Drop Curtain has snaps along the bottom edges. Scout® originally offered the 2002-2006 280 Abaco with Short Venturi Windshield in Black, Royal Blue Tweed and Hemlock Tweed Sunbrella®, Life Vest Holder in Linen Sunbrella fabric.
Product Details: Mounts under Rear of Hard-Top with Plastic or Aluminum Tracks (included as needed) and SS Snap-Stud-Screws. Extends vertically down to floor. The Aft-Curtain has 25 to 60 standard 3/8" snaps or bungee cords, depending on the boat. Stainless steel Canvas-Snaps are included (IF used) but not installed in the canvas, for perfect alignment. Let us know if you need Clip-On-Windshield-Frame-Snaps or slides into a track at the top of the windshield.
Scout® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes:For Ameritex® (Not Great Lakes) canvas, covers & frames: A laser-engraved, black rubber tag is sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), and the only way we are able to manufacture the exact canvas, cover or frame specific to your boat is if you provide the part number (P/N) on that tag: We will require the P/N (112350xxx and Greater) and DT date code from this Black Tag (or sticker) and WE WILL MAKE THIS EXACT PART NUMBER, so there are NO RETURNS, REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. Zippers on OEM Scout® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). All Scout® top frames (bows) are Stainless Steel. Most (NOT All) Scout® Ameritex® Bimini Tops have zippered frame (bow) pockets for easy installation. Scout® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for Scout® boats over 2 years old. Verify that your old and mating canvas has AMERITEX® or TAYLOR-MADE® on the tags and embossed on the Canvas Snaps AND the correct factory OEM Zipper Size (#8 = 6 teeth/inch in most cases).
Will NOT fit after-market top or canvas.
Stainless steel Canvas-Snaps are included (IF used) but NOT installed in the canvas (to allow for a perfect fit), so a Snap-Tool may be required.
