Notes:
- 2004-2005 Wellcraft® Coastal 290 Ameritex Model Specific Details: Ameritex® Canvas May 2004 forward boat build date (HIN ending in E404 and later) thru January 207 (ends in A707) with U-shaped zippered windows (no screens) in each Side Curtain. This is NOT interchange -able with the 2004 Taylor Made® Canvas (up to April 2004 build date) which has Taylor-Made® tags/snaps and does NOT have a U-Shaped zipper window in the Side Curtains. The curtains have Keder Welt at the top which slides directly into the tracks on the Hard Top and use size #8 (6 teeth/inch) zippers. The front Connector (windscreen) attaches to the top of the glass Windshield with Lift the Dot snaps. Wellcraft® originally offered the 2004-2005 Coastal 290 Ameritex in Charcoal Tweed, Mediterranean Blue Tweed or Linen Tweed (no Black) Sunbrella® fabric.
- Product Details: Flexible Glass fits between Hard-Top and Windshield or Console (typically with Zip-Open Windows) Also called "Windshield", "Spray-Shield" or "Visor". Mounts under Front of Hard-Top with Plastic or Aluminum Tracks and SS Snap-Stud-Screws, Clip-On-Windshield-Frame-Snaps or slides into a track at the top of the windshield.
- Wellcraft® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes: A laser-engraved, black rubber tag is sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), and the only way we are able to manufacture the exact canvas, cover or frame specific to your boat is if you provide the part number (P/N) on that tag: We will require the P/N (112350xxx and Greater) and DT date code from this Black Tag (or sticker) and WE WILL MAKE THIS EXACT PART NUMBER, so there are NO RETURNS, REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. Zippers on OEM Wellcraft® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). Most (NOT All) Wellcraft® Bimini Tops have zippered frame (bow) pockets for easy installation. Wellcraft® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for Wellcraft® boats over 2 years old. Wellcraft® OEM canvas part number scheme: Ameritex® tags p/n [nnnxxxccc] OR Taylor-Made® tags p/n [nnnccccxxx], where [nnnn] identifies the boat (an internal code), [xxx] identifies the canvas piece and [ccc] is the color code. Wellcraft® Hull Identification Number (HIN) = WELpssssmbyy (1981-2010) or PWEpssssmbyy (2010-current) , where [yy] = model year.

- TIP: Be sure to check your existing (and adjacent connecting) canvas pieces (and frames) for:
  1. White Ameritex® tags p/n [103xxxccc] or [104xxxccc] (the tags are approx. 2-3 inches x 4-5 inches),
  2. The Ameritex® logo embossed on the heads of the stainless canvas snaps,
  3. The Zipper Size listed above (#8 in most cases) on all zippers.

Size/Fit:
1. Factory Original-Equipment-Manufacturer (OEM) patterned for the {2004,2005} Wellcraft® Coastal 290 Ameritex: 290 Coastal walk around cuddy with factory installed Hard Top (Ameritex(r) tags and embossed snaps heads, with U-shaped Zippered windows in the Side Curtains (Not zippered window was Taylor-Made canvas).
2. Will ONLY fit and/or zip to other Factory OEM canvas/frames with Ameritex® tags p/n [103xxxccc] or [104xxxccc] ("ccc" is the color code).
3. Fits Factory installed Original-Equipment (OEM) Hard-Top and OEM Side-Curtains perfectly.
4. Verify that your old and mating canvas has AMERITEX® or TAYLOR-MADE® on the tags and embossed on the Canvas Snaps AND the correct factory OEM Zipper Size (#8 = 6 teeth/inch in most cases).
5. Will NOT fit after-market top or canvas.
6. Mounts to front of Hard-Top via Hard-Top-Connection (Zipper Strip) or directly with Keder Welt which slides into Plastic or Aluminum Tracks.
7. Attaches to windshield with Clip-On-Windshield-Frame-Snaps, Stainless steel Snap-Stud-Screws or Keder Welt that slides into a track on the top of the windshield.
8. Stainless steel Canvas-Snaps are included (IF used) but NOT installed in the canvas (to allow for a perfect fit), so a Snap-Tool may be required.
9. Check the 2004-2005 Wellcraft® Coastal 290 Ameritex Model-Specific-Information abovefor any other size/fit notes and zipper size.
10. Does NOT fit Wellcraft® Coastal 290 Ameritex prior to 2004.
11. Does NOT fit Wellcraft® Coastal 290 Ameritex after 2005.
12. Does NOT fit any year/make/model other than the 2004-2005 Wellcraft® Coastal 290 Ameritex.

Your 12-digit Hull-Identification-Number (HIN) (WELsssssmbyy) is embossed on the starboard side of your transom, below the rub rail, and the HIN should also be on your registration papers (verify it with the official HIN on your transom) and may also be on your insurance documents,
The HIN is required to verify the boat manufacturer (first 3-digits) and determine date of manufacturer (last 4-digits) to determine the correct revision of the Hard Top Connector (Factory OEM),
Unfortunately, the HIN does NOT tell us what model the boat is, what options the boat has or what color canvas it originally came with, so we must rely on you to select the boat, options and color from our web site.

IMPORTANT information required about your 2004-2005 Wellcraft Coastal 290 Ameritex:
Ameritex(r) canvas for boats built from May 2004 thru January 2007 (HINs ending in E404 thru A707). Ameritex AND Taylor-Made BOTH made canvas for the 2005 Coastal 290, and they are NOT interchangeable, so be sure which mating canvas is on your boat ? (required)
