Factory LEANING POST COVER for factory installed Leaning Post (not included), OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in Sunbrella® marine fabric, produced with the same high quality, original 2004-2006 digitized patterns approved by Scout® for the 235 Sportfish Canvas T-Top: 235SF center console with factory installed Canvas T-Top (NOT the Hard T-Top), O/B:
  • Notes:
    • 2004-2006 Scout® 235 Sportfish Canvas T-Top Model Specific Details: We only offer the Deluxe Leaning Post Cover. We did not make factory canvas for the 235SF until September 2003 for the 2004 model year (last 4 of HIN must be later than i304). Scout® originally offered the 2004-2006 235 Sportfish Canvas T-Top in Black Sunbrella® T-Top and Enclosure (Email for Cream Stamoid) and Black, Royal Blue Tweed and Hemlock Tweed Sunbrella® Leaning Post fabric.
    • Product Details: Factory Original-Equipment (OEM) canvas made-to-order.
    • Scout® Factory Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Notes: TAGSFor Ameritex® (Not Great Lakes) canvas, covers & frames: A laser-engraved, black rubber tag is sewn into every Ameritex® (we no longer make Taylor-Made®) original-equipment canvas or cover (a laser printed sticker is on each frame), and the only way we are able to manufacture the exact canvas, cover or frame specific to your boat is if you provide the part number (P/N) on that tag: We will require the P/N (112350xxx and Greater) and DT date code from this Black Tag (or sticker) and WE WILL MAKE THIS EXACT PART NUMBER, so there are NO RETURNS, REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. Zippers on OEM Scout® canvas are size #8 (6 teeth/inch). All Scout® top frames (bows) are Stainless Steel. Most (NOT All) Scout® Ameritex® Bimini Tops have zippered frame (bow) pockets for easy installation. Scout® installed the snaps in their boats, canvas and covers at their factory, so we cannot install the canvas snaps for you because we do not have locations (see Canvas/Snap Installation to learn about installing snaps). We can only sell canvas and covers direct for Scout® boats over 2 years old. OEM canvas part numbers:

    4. Does NOT fit Scout® 235 Sportfish Canvas T-Top prior to 2004.
    5. Does NOT fit Scout® 235 Sportfish Canvas T-Top after 2006.
    6. Does NOT fit any year/make/model other than the 2004-2006 Scout® 235 Sportfish Canvas T-Top.

  • Options:
  • Guarantee: We guarantee our factory original (OEM) canvas, frames and covers:
    • Will be of first rate quality and free of manufacturing defects,
    • Will be made with the exact patterns and specifications as originally designed and delivered with the boat when new,
    • Will fit the specified boat, as long as the existing and mating canvas and frames are factory original: having part numbers, snaps and zipper size as specified in the Size/Fit and Model-Specific-Information on this page,
    • Will perform as described when installed properly.
    You can count on all of the above or we will repair or replace the item in question.

    • Your 12-digit Hull-Identification-Number (HIN) (SLPsssssmbyy) is embossed on the starboard side of your transom, below the rub rail, and the HIN should also be on your registration papers (verify it with the official HIN on your transom) and may also be on your insurance documents,
    • The HIN is required to verify the boat manufacturer (first 3-digits) and determine date of manufacturer (last 4-digits) to determine the correct revision of the Leaning Post Cover (Factory OEM),
    • Unfortunately, the HIN does NOT tell us what model the boat is, what options the boat has or what color canvas it originally came with, so we must rely on you to select the boat, options and color from our web site.
